How does a Scout enroll?
Because of school occupancy limits, total enrollment at the MBU is limited.
Class sizes are also limited and will be assigned on a first-come basis.
This means that registration must be prepaid, and forms should be completed in
their entirety in order for them to be accepted.
Registration forms are now available on the
Permission Slips page.
How much does MBU cost?
This year's enrollment fee is $30 per scout. All registration forms and
fees must be received at the Old Colony Council no later than Friday, Febuary 1,
2008.
What is provided at MBU?
Three lunches, three merit badge booklets and an event participation patch are provided by MBU.
What are the requirements for attending?
Why must a Scout be First Class to attend?
Although "pre-First Class" Scouts are allowed to earn merit badges, at this
point in their Scouting life, they really should be concentrating on
completing the requirements needed to achieve their Tenderfoot, Second and First Class ranks.
On the other hand, First Class, Star
and Life Scouts must earn merit badges in order to advance.
Therefore, First Class was deemed the logical cut-off to achieve the occupancy
and class size limits as stated above, under "How does a Scout Enroll?".
