Directions to Camp Squanto

From Medfield center, it takes about 75 minutes to get to Squanto, with moderate traffic.

Take Route 495 to exit 2 (Rte. 58).  Go north 2.5 miles toward Carver, past cranberry bogs, to where Rte. 58 makes a 90° left turn - but you continue straight on Tremont Street for 0.8 miles

Look for a small brown Myles Standish State Forest sign on the right.   Turn right onto Cranberry Road.

Go past cranberry bogs & houses for 1.7 miles to a large wooden State Forest sign on the right.  Continue 1 mile on the forest road.

As you approach the State Forest Headquarters area and the "Bridge Closed" sign, make a left-hand hairpin turn.  (After this point, you will begin seeing "Camp Squanto" signs at each intersection, to help guide you.)

Go past ponds on the left and right, following Squanto signs, onto Halfway Pond Road for almost 2 miles.

At Stop sign, turn right onto Upper College Pond Road.

Follow this road to the next intersection, and turn left onto Fearing Pond Road.

Proceed 1.4 miles on Fearing Pond Road, (going past campsites on the left and the Camp Cachalot turnoff on the right.)

At the Fearing Pond Picnic area on the left, turn sharp right onto Cutter Field Road for Camp Squanto.

Stay on Cutter Field Road (paved but very narrow) for about 1 mile to Camp Squanto.  Turn left at the totem pole into the Visitor Parking lot.

There are signed drop-off spots for each campsite, located along the right side of the parking lot.  The Troop 10 drop-off spot is named "Pioneer" and is the second one in line.  Look for people in their Troop 10 Class-B t-shirts.
