Swim Night - 2008

A Troop Swim Night is planned for Tuesday, March 18, 6:45pm-8:00pm, at the Westwood High School Pool, Nahatan St, Westwood.   There is no charge for this activity!

bulletThis will provide an excellent opportunity for scouts to receive instruction (and be tested) for Second and First Class swimming & rescue requirements.  Remember, the rescue requirements are only partially covered by the "Flight To Eagle" program at Camp Squanto.
bulletScouts who have not yet taken their official BSA Swim Test, while with Troop 10, will need to be (re)certified.  This will be mandatory for the April Canoe Trip to Devil's Foot Island, and is highly recommended for the Whitewater Rafting Trip in June.
bulletIf time permits, there will be an open swim.

Be at the Pool lobby before 6:45pm.  We have access to the pool from 7:00 to 8:00, but arriving early gives us the time to get changed and be ready by 7:00pm.

Bring your towel and swimsuit.  The troop will supply the gear needed to practice the various rescue requirements.

Please be aware that you must arrange for your own transportation.  There will be no troop-organized carpooling from the UCC.

Directions:

Take Rte 109 East from Medfield center, towards Westwood, for about 5 miles.
Turn right onto Nahatan St, in Westwood.
Follow Nahatan St for 1/2 mile, passing alongside  the Westwood High School complex.
Turn into the very last entrance to the High School complex.  This will appear to go around the back of the building, but park in front, near the glass doors leading to the pool lobby..
We will assemble in the lobby  and then head down to the locker room.

Remember:  There will be no regular Troop meeting on Tuesday, March 18.
