Winter Day Hike to Child's Island & Devil's Foot Island- 2004

The Winter Day Hike was held January 10.   Although originally intended as an overnight camping event, the extreme weather conditions (and various other conflicts) required that we change it to a day activity.  We hiked to Child's Island, and spent some time exploring.  We then were able to traverse, across the ice, from Child's to nearby Devil's Foot Island and spend the majority of the day there.  We had lunch. set up a compass course, and engaged in various other activities before hiking back.
